How to Fill Your Sales Funnel with Customers

In a previous post, we talked about what a sales funnel is. Now let’s talk about how to fill your sales funnel with customers.

Here’s How:

If you want a constant stream of new eyeballs to take a look at what you have to offer, you can do this by using:

  • Paid media
  • Social shares
  • Content marketing (creating blog posts)

These will help generate a constant stream of traffic (we call these “suspects”) swarming around your sales funnel.

Once you do, you’ll want to figure out which ones will move from “suspects” to become “prospects” (or leads).

Do this by giving them a way to show you that they’re interested in what you have…

Here Are Some Ideas:

  • Providing an optin for a checklist or whitepaper.
  • Offering a subscription to a blog updates (though I like the checklist idea better).
  • Giving an opt-in to download exclusive content (like maybe a free version of your membership site?).
  • Create online registration for a free service (like website reviews if that fits your model).

Anyone who takes action and gives you an email is basically waving at you, saying “Hey, I’m a lead—what else do you want to say? I’m listening… let's talk!”

I'll be writing on this topic in the future, but, in the meantime, if you know anyone learning about the ins and outs of sales funnels, be sure to share this article with them with a like, share, tweet or plus.

Of course, if you have any questions, leave a comment below and I'll get you an answer…
