Step #1—Ask: “Do I really need outsourcing?”
You may have heard that you do, and if you haven't, eventually you will hear that outsourcing is something close to the “holy grail.”
But there are instances where it’s not necessary.
Here's a quick checklist to see if you're ready for outsourcing:
- You are already doing the work yourself.
- You know how to teach others to do the work—which generally means you already have a system in place that you can teach.
- You have extra work that needs to be done.
- You’re time is better spent on more important tasks.
- You are ready to manage others.
Which leads us to Step 2.
Step 2: Write: The Job Description
Create a job description—describe the tasks involved, communicate your personality and what values you need from your team member.

Step 3: Build: Your Recruitment Funnel
This is essential if you’re seeking out a team member that you want to be a part of your organization on a long-term basis.
